It was The Little Worker's birthday yesterday.
Despite the sadness following her Dad's passing on Wednesday followed by the death of a close friend's husband on Thursday and the distress of watching a failing cherished family dog we managed to celebrate and generally have an enjoyable day; not quite able to totally forget the sadness life chucks at everyone but able to push them off to one side for a while.
Support from, and the company of family and friends go a long way to help both immediately and in the long term
